I decided that flying to Venice and driving from there to Slovenia was the best option. I spoke to Goldie and asked if he fancied coming, and he said yeah, defo, so we booked the flights, Airbnb and the rental car.
We rented a Fiat 500 and drove through Italy’s countryside into Slovenia. The landscapes are beautiful but Italian drivers are terrible, simply awful drivers. As soon as we crossed the border, the drivers instantly got better – Italy, sort yourselves out.
I’m keeping this short: Lake Bled was beautiful, Ljubljana was a fantastic city and Slovenians are really, really nice people. I recommend that you visit Slovenia soon.
