Buying ALL old lady's flowers at Bulgarian market

I wanted to do something nice for a lady in the women's market, so I bought all of this old Bulgarian lady's flowers, then I didn't know what to do with them so decided to give them away, which is somehow harder than it sounds. Nobody wanted them. I think if I spoke some Bulgarian, somebody would have took them.

The plan was to give the flowers away then go back to buy the sunflowers off the other lady, then give them away, but things didn't go to plan.

I ended up giving them to a lady who was digging through the trash as I thought she could sell them and then spend the money on food or something. She took them, seemed happy enough to take them - if she understood at all?

I decided after I walked away that I wanted to give her the change from my pocket, so I walked back to find that she had thrown the flowers in the bin and carried on rummaging. This disappointed me quite a bit and put me in a mood for the rest of the day. I thought it was a nice thing to do.

At least the lady who sold me the flowers had a better day - glad I could help a bit.
